Hi, I understand that the cross depicted above is called “Maramures Cross” in Romania, what is the name of the place where this cross can be found? I assume is in the Maramures region, but I don’t recall the name of the town. Thanks
@Luca: It can be found all across Romania and Moldavia. It is an ancient romanian and european simbol. It is called the Maramures Cross because it is present in maramures more than in other places and has great importance in wood art of Maramures.
